Groundwork is a leading environmental regeneration organisation. Put simply they look to transform areas which are no longer at their best. Be it the garden of an elderly resident who is having trouble maintaining it, or a large open space - they are involved in many joint projects designed to make our landscape more environmentally friendly .
They work extensively on youth initiatives from litter picks to poster designing and creating garden projects. The aim is to teach young people how to take responsibility for the area in which they live.
With over twenty years of experience they develop and deliver projects for the benefit of local people, the local environment and the local economy.
Groundwork aims to provide a local link between the community and the regeneration activity on the ground. This could mean liaising with other regeneration agencies, schools, emergency services, social services, youth agencies and funding bodies.
