Local Area Partnerships and Tasking Teams
Local Area Partnerships
What are they?
- They meet six times a year.
- Are attended by local residents, councillors, council officers and others who serve your community such as police, health, tenants and community groups.
- Each Area Partnership is supported by an area manager.
They aim to:
- Give you a chance to make a difference in your community.
- Address issues of concern to local people.
- Link local services with local people.
- Develop Local Action Plans for the area and monitor delivery of those plans.
Local Area Tasking Teams
What are they?
- They meet every six weeks - more or less the same as the LAPS.
- They are chaired by the LAP managers and the Local Police Inspector.
- They respond to issues raised by members of the public solely which concern community safety.
- In attendance are members of the public (for part of the meeting), and police, health, tenants and community groups.
